This Antique Hardstone Cameo Pendant/Pin is lovely! The oval cameo depicts a carving in high relief of a woman in profile and the surround is 14k yellow gold set with cultured pearls. The back has a pin as well as a flip up swiveling loop so it can be worn as a pendant. The pin is marked 14k tests for 14k gold (not plated or filled). The pendant has lovely feminine details. Upon very close inspection, the carved part of the cameo has some chips at the edges but this would not be seen when the pendant is worn and has been taken into consideration in pricing. Please note that the hanging loop and pin were added at a later date, our best guess would be the 1930's, to replace the original. The brooch / pendant measures approximately 27 mm north to south and 22.5 mm east to west. A very beautiful, elegant and charming piece!
