Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Acorn Pattern Salad Serving Spoon with Horn Bowl

This Vintage Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Salad Serving Spoon in the Acorn pattern will add elegance to your table. The spoon has beautiful lines and will pair with virtually any table setting. The pattern dates to 1915.

This sterling and horn spoon is in good vintage condition with some signs of wear as would be expected for an item of this age. The bovine/cow horn is not perfectly smooth (please see photos). It is marked Georg Jensen on the front and Sterling Denmark on the back and is not monogrammed. This will make a wonderful addition to your table when mixed with other vintage tableware, when sitting down to a special meal or buffet.

The serving spoon measures approximately 9 1/4" in length.

From the Jensen website: "Designed in 1915 by Johan Rohde, the Acorn sterling silver cutlery pattern represents the early foundation of Georg Jensen’s organic and timeless design language. In contrast to the Art Nouveau style of the early 1900s, Acorn’s design captures a classic, understated style where decoration is used to emphasise the form and shape. Regarded as both a sumptuous and noble pattern, Acorn at one time had 220 individual pieces. Today’s range totals approximately 75 pieces and remains one of Georg Jensen’s most exclusive silver cutlery patterns."

Care: Not dishwasher safe. Clean horn items in lukewarm running water, never hot water, without soap or other solvents or cleaning products. Dry off the item immediately. Do not soak.
