Victorian 14k Gold Floral Pearl Diamond Pendant Pin: Antique Jewelry

This Antique Gold Old Mine Cut Diamond and Pearl Pendant Pin is breathtaking! The details are delicate yet the pin is solid and well made. The pin / pendant is circa the early 1900's and features seventy-two seed pearls, one larger cultured pearl measuring approximately 5.5 mm and eight sparkling Old Mine cut natural diamonds weighing approximately .06 - .08 carats each. There is approximately 1/2 carat of diamonds in total. The pendant measures approximately 30 mm. The pin has an old fashioned "c" hook closure as well as a chain and pin fastener which is detachable. There is the option to lift the hinged loop so that the piece can be worn as a pendant. The pin is marked 14k and tests for 14k gold (not filled or plated). It is feminine and lovely. Very nicely made, this pin is sure to become a favorite with its starburst and swirl design that is reminiscent of an open flower. In Victorian times, pins were often worn in en masse, scattered across necklines. This pin/pendant is a very well made and more luxurious version of this style than is often seen. It has wonderful style and can be worn every day or for special occasions. Worn as a pin by itself or with others, it's a beautiful piece.
