Vintage 14k Gold Love Birds Heart Pendant: Sapphire, Ruby Jeweled Charm

This Vintage 14k Yellow Gold Love Birds Pendant is lovely! The exceptional mid-century heart shaped piece features an ornate three dimensional design with a raised top with two love birds perched on branches surrounded by stylized swirling tree branches and leaves. The birds have purple sapphire bellies, deep blue spinel eyes and the piece is further adorned with six red natural rubies. In some of the photos the stones look darker than they do in person. The lower plate is solid and has a polished finish. It is marked 14k on the back and tests for 14k gold (not plated or filled). The pendant measures approximately 1 7/16" east to west and 1 3/4" north to south including the hanging loop. This pendant is very well made, is in good vintage condition and is ready to be worn and enjoyed. This charm would be perfect for a wife or sweetheart. The motif of two lovebirds is said to symbolize devotion, unity and love. A wonderful gift for a bride! The vintage design is gorgeous!
