This Vintage Shamrock Pendant is gorgeous! The shamrock is made up of three heart shaped leaves with three round natural emeralds in each leaf and a round natural diamond at the center. The emeralds measure approximately 3.5 mm and have nice green color. The natural European cut diamond weighs approximately .20 carats, H color, VS2-SI1 clarity. The back of the pendant is solid and there are two hidden hanging loops on the back of the top leaf. The piece is white gold with a yellow gold back. The pendant is solid 14k gold and is marked 14k (and tested). It's very well made and we think it's quite special. This vintage pendant is in nice condition and could be worn on the chain of your choice. It's a great conversation piece and is a unique vintage item.
The shamrock is one of the national symbols of Ireland. Historically, the shamrock has connections to St. Patrick, Ireland’s patron saint. When he arrived in Ireland he used the three leaves of the shamrock while teaching to represent the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Today the symbol of the shamrock is an Irish icon. Many also view it as a symbol of good luck!
