Vintage 14k Yellow Gold Amethyst and Diamond Halo Ring Size 5.5

This Vintage 14k Gold Purple Amethyst and Diamond Ring is gorgeous! The ring features an oval halo style with a deep purple natural amethyst at the center. The amethyst measures approximately 8.0 mm x 10.1 mm and under 10x magnification exhibits some wear with very minor nicks at the girdle and minor surface scratches on the top of the stone as might be expected for a ring of this age. This will be seen when the ring is worn. The amethyst is surrounded by 16 natural full cut diamonds that weigh approximately .03 carats each for a total of almost 1/2 carat. The diamonds have approximately I color and SI2 - I1 clarity. The 1980's - 1990's ring has classic vintage appeal. The setting is marked 14k and tests for 14k gold (not plated or filled). The ring is in good vintage condition and is ready to be worn and enjoyed. A very nice piece!
