This Vintage 14k Gold Black Star Sapphire ring is beautiful! The ring features a natural black star sapphire. The star is best viewed when the sapphire is under a single light source such as the sun or a spotlight. This stone lights up from within under direct light and the star rays are not as sharp as some but the stone is natural and has wonderful character. The stone measures approximately 5.5 x 7.5 mm. The setting is fabulous with a modern style and brushed and polished finishes. The top of the ring measures approximately 9.5 mm north to south and the rise is approximately 5 mm. The setting is unmarked and tests for 14k gold (not gold filled or plated). This ring would be wonderful for a man (as originally intended) or a woman. It has great character and beauty.
