This Vintage Sterling Silver Carnelian Intaglio ring is eye catching! We believe the ring dates to the 1910's Arts and Crafts period. The sterling silver ring has a gorgeous deep orangey brick colored carnelian stone that has been beautifully carved with a Roman soldier's profile. The setting is not marked but tests for sterling silver and there are leaves at each side of the stone. The cut cornered rectangular stone measures approximately 13,8 x 13.8 mm. This ring is vintage and does show some signs of wear. We noticed at the sides it appears there may have been stems on the leaves that are now missing. However, the ring is beautiful as is and this would not be noticeable when the ring is worn.
