This Vintage 18k Gold Amethyst Ring is fabulous! The ring is Art Deco circa the 1920's and it has beautiful shaping and showcases a transparent light purple natural amethyst. The rectangle cut amethyst measures approximately 9 x 12 mm. It is a beautiful purple color. The setting retains beautiful details. The 18k marking inside of the band is somewhat worn but the ring tests for 18k gold (solid gold, not plated or filled). The amethyst has some wiggle but is securely set. This ring is in nice vintage condition and is ready to be worn and enjoyed. Amethyst is the birthstone for February. Some believe that amethyst can bring you calmness, inner peace and may heighten the wearer's natural intuition. It is also said to be a stone of protection. If you or a friend have a February birthday, love the color purple or love romantic Art Deco style, this ring is for you!
