Vintage Black Star Sapphire Ring: Diamond Halo, 14k Two-Tone Gold, Size 5.25

This Vintage Star Sapphire and Diamond Halo Ring is stunning! The ring features a gorgeous oval shaped genuine black star sapphire set off by nineteen full cut round natural diamonds in halo design. The star sapphire reveals a beautiful star in the daylight. The sapphire measures approximately 12 x 14.5 x 7 mm (or approximately 13 carats by calculation) and is held in place by yellow gold prongs with bead ends. In the photo there is some lint on the stone as well as minor surface scratching that would be expected from wear. But, there is also an egg shaped inclusion that reaches the surface of the stone giving the appearance of a scratch. It is not cracked. The inclusion can be seen in the photo after the video at the 7:00 position. The lighting and close up photo make it appear more noticeable than under regular light. The stone may have been this way since it was set. The diamonds weigh approximately .05 carats each, J color, SI1-SI2 clarity. There is a total of approximately .95 carats of diamonds set in white gold. The top of the ring measures approximately 20 x 24.5 mm and has a rise of 12 mm. The bottom of the ring is white gold with great details including a three band shank. The setting is unmarked but tests for 14k gold and this setting is thoughtfully designed and skillfully executed. This vintage ring is unique in style and is well made. It is in good vintage condition and is ready to be worn and enjoyed. This will be a spectacular everyday or special occasion ring.
